Last time when I went to Gdynia, I heard in radio one song which I really liked.  Instantly I got back home, I quickly found this song and I fell in love with it. Now I listen to it all the time, and I guess it will never get me bored. If I hear this piece of music, I will forget about my problems and I feel like in wonderland.

I talk about song entitled "I see fire" by  Ed Sheeran from movie "The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug". And I think this musician is great. Certainly I will go to his concert if he plays in Poland.

 I want to tell you something about Ed Sheeran. He was born on 17 February 1991 in  Halifax and he is an English singer and songwriter. In childhood he learned to play guitar and started writing lyrics. Next he entered record his first songs and  in 2008,  he moved to London in order to develop his music career. In 2009, Sheeran played 312 gigs. Ed wanted to beat a record number of concert of James Morrison (200 in one year), and he did it.

Popularity gave him first song "The A Team" showed in June 2011. He was on the top with this song and the other one "Lego House".  The leadin single also became a top ten hit in Australia, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Norway and the Netherlands . His debut album got fourfold platinum in the UK, this CD was sold out in 1 200 000 pieces. Sheeran wrote a couple of songs for British-Irish band One Direction. 13th March 2013 he together with Taylor Swift started off concert tour in North America with her album - "Red".

Book Review - "Before I fall"

One of the best books I have read is „Before I fall” written by Lauren Oliver. This is her first novel and, what’s more, for many weeks we have had an opportunity to see it on the first ten  of “New York Times” bestsellers. The book was published in 2010.

The main character is Samantha Kingston. She’s one of the most popular girls at Thomas Jefferson High School. She has it all – including the best place in a school canteen and parking spot.  Everybody focuses on her needs and reckons with her opinion. Lots of younger students treat her like a role model - she serves as an example for them. They admire and try to copy her. Sam has got a boyfriend about whom the others can only dream, and three the best friends who could go through fire and water for her.

One day after a big party she and her friends have got a car accident. Sam very precisely sees her painful and unpleasant death but she can’t do anything to stop this terrible feeling. Suddenly, Samantha wakes up in the morning and terrified notices that there is the same day, 12 February, again today.

The author shows us the incredible change of a young, selfish, confident and inward-looking girl. During a few days she becomes a grown woman who starts noticing her mistakes and criticizing own behavior. She tries to take advantage of opportunity and  change herself to being more approachable for the others.

This book is really worth reading. I was captivated by this story and I think that everyone deserves a second chance. I’m convinced that you’ll like it because the featured problem is closely connected with today's struggle of young people with oneself.

Matches 1/8 finals in  the best football league in the world have brought us to the enormity of emotions. Lots of goals, including those most beautiful, fantastic players, great excitement - not only the positive ... Time to sum up the 1/8 finals of UEFA Champions League.

By far the easiest way to the quarter-finals had Real Madrid , who faced the German FC Schalke 04. Carlo Ancelotti's team in the first match on German soil won 6-1 and secured promotion to the next phase. Goals for Galacticos were scored by Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and... again , each of these gentlemen had scored one goal. A total score was 6:1 and the only goal for Die Knappen won Klaas -Jan Huntelaar. One thing was already certain - Real Madrid- nobody and nothing can bring progress to the quarter-finals and the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu will be just a formality. And so it was. Real, after two goals by Ronaldo and one by Alvaro Morata, defeated a team from Gelsenkirchen again - this time 3-1. One goal for the team from Germany was scored by Tim Hoogland. 9:2 on aggregate showed what power in the current edition of the Champions League to Los Blancos and what the gap between the German team of representatives of Spanish football is. It was the easiest tie for Real in years.

Aggregate score: 9:2 . Promotion: Real Madrid

The next aggregate, which did not bring more excitement, was match of a master of France - Paris Saint Germain with the German team Bayer Leverkusen. Here, as in the match Real Madrid Schalke 04, everything was settled in the first match.  BayArena became packed with the Stars team from Paris, with a wonderful Swedish player Zlatan Ibrahimovic headed and after his two goals and one by Yohan Cabaye and Blaise Matuidi the team won with Bayer and was sure of promotion to the quarter finals in the best football league in the world. In second leg, the team Laurant Blanc also won  with  Bayer - this time 2-1, and joined the Champions League quarterfinalists.

Aggregate score: 6:1. Promotion: Paris Saint Germain

Manchester City's confrontation with FC Barcelona was announced as a big hit. Unfortunately, both teams did not bring a lot of emotions. At the Etihad Stadium, in the blue part of Manchester, Gerardo Martino’s team won 2-0 and the goal of champions of Spain were scored by Lionel Mess

i (penalty) and Dani Alves. The second leg at the Camp Neu also ran under the dictation of the team from Catalunya, and after goals by Dani Alves and Lionel Messi, Barcelona won 2-1. The only goal for Manchester City was scored by Vincent Kompany in 89’ minute of the game. In aggregate Spaniards proved to be better and they will play in the quarterfinals.

Result agg: 4-1. Promotion: FC Barcelona

he second of the big hits was the UEFA Champions League clash with Arsenal defending champion Bayern Munich. In the first game we did not lack excitement. Wojciech Szczesny after a foul on Arjen Robben received a red card and additionally, Bayern had a penalty, but David Alaba had missed the penalty kick. In the second half playing in the superiority of one player guests scored two goals and could be assured of promotion to the quarter-finals. In Munich a 1-1 draw, but it gave the English team promotion - Bayern will play in the next phase.

Result agg: 3-1. Promotion: Bayern

The fourth, and final, the German team at this stage of the Champions League was Borussia Dortmund. BVB's opponent in the 1/8 final  had a Russian team Zenit St. Petersburg. Just in the first meeting in St. Petersburg showed higher skills and goals by Henrik Mchitaryana, Marco Reuss and two by  Robert Lewandowski won 4-2. Goals for the team Luciano Spalettiego won Oleg Shatov and Brazilian Hulk. On the Signal-Iduna Park in Dortmund Russian team won 2-1, but it does not give them advance to the next round - it will play Borussia.

Result agg: 5-4. Promotion: Borussia

In aggregate neither AC Milan nor Atletico Madrid was a strong favorite, and each team could advance to further rounds. In the first match at the San Siro, after a goal by Diego Costa, Los Colchoneros won 1-0, but they could peacefully wait for the rematch, because one goal is nothing. In second leg, however, the  team showed their great football skills and deservedly won 4-1 and the goals for the Spanish team were shot in sequence by: Diego Costa, Arta Turan, Raul Garcia and reestablished Diego Costa. Milan replied only one goal - scored by Kaka in the 27 minute of the match. In the quarterfinals of the Champions League will play Atletico Madrid.

Result agg: 5-1. Promotion: Atletico Madrid

The match was played by Chelsea with Turkish Galatasaray and the favorite was the English team. But nobody expected that the players from Istanbul may cause problems to one of the best teams in Europe. In the first match, played at the Turk Telekom Arena in Istanbul, there was 1-1 draw and goals were scored by Fernando Torres - Chelsea and Aurelien Chedjou for Galatasaray. It was certain that the second leg will be with emotions. At Stamford Bridge hosts - Chelsea won 2-0 with goals by Samuel Eto'o after 4 minutes and Gary Cahill at 42’ minute of the game. Even before the break it had been clear that  London team will play on. The result has not changed and Chelsea will be seen in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Result agg: 3-1. Promotion: Chelsea

Most of excitement in the competition phase has provided us with a duel champion of England - Manchester United and master of Greece - Olympiakos Piraeus. The favorite of the aggregate were of course the Red Devils, but players from Athens announced until they are blue in the face. In the first match, in the Greek capital, hosts won 2-0 with goals by Alejandro Dominguez and Joel Campbell. Then it became clear that Manchester United will have to win at least 3-0 to advance to the next phase of the competition. All the experts were confident that the team of David Moyes will not make it shoot up three goals to the Greek team and say goodbye to the Champions League. However, the Red Devils showed that nothing is impossible and after a hat-trick of Robin Van Persie they won 3-0 at Old Trafford and, as a reward for fighting, the team will play in the quarterfinals. Olympiacos did not have enough energy to defeat the 20 times champion of England.

Result agg: 3-2. Promotion: Manchester United

"Przeklinam Cię, ciało" (eng. I curse you, body) is a story that was released in 2005 and written by Wanda Lachowicz.

It tells about young girl who struggles with anorexia and bulimia, because she can't stand the situations which are happening in her life...

We don't know her name, because she wanted to be anonymous writting the diary. She is very sensitive, she receives the reality stronger than other people do. When her parents get a divorce, everything falls and it seems not to be better never more. She misses her dad so much, but at the same time she hates him, because he left her and damaged her family. The girl falls into addictions - she drinks, smokes and wants to extremely lose her weight. She also doesn't have good relations with her mother - she thinks that the woman doesn't understand her as well as the fact that dad's leaving affected her from the inside. The teenager even starts to sell drugs - she needs money. She is alone at her new school and she still doesn't eat too much. One day she gets to the psychiatric hospital. The doctors try to help her pick up from the bottom in which she has been for months. But, unfortunately, she doesn't have a positive attitude to everything that people do for her...

Will she start living normally and leave the past behind...? Read this book, I recommend it to you today. You probably won't be disappointed and you will take it from your shelf again.

From the 1^st  April a second obituary album of Michael Jackson is available in advance sale. “Xscape” is a set of earlier not published Michael’s records. There are 8 new remastered songs on the album.  Delux version will contain the same song in original version and one  additional song.  “Xscape” came into existence thanks to Timbaland, StarGate, L.A. Reid and of course Michael Jackson.
A title of the central song, which Michael made with his manager before his death, is “Xscpae”. Therefore this way the entire album is called.  At first Jackson has always recorded the single about the brief title, and then the same named the entire plate.
The official premiere of “Xscpae” is dated at 13^th May, but now you can listen the album teaser here:

The Magicians’ Guild- book review

The Magicians’ Guild is the first fantasy novel in The Black Magician trilogy. This series has been written by Australian writer Trudi Canavan. The Magicians’ Guild is followed by The Novice and The High Lord.

It starts at the beginning of winter. Every year streets of Imardin, the capital city of Kyralia, are purged of the ‘dwells’. Magicians drive them away back to the city’s slums. Young gang throws rocks at them in protest against their aggresion. The Guild’s inhabitants are protected by a magical shield until Sonea, a young dwell, injures Lord Fergun by throwing one the rocks through their barrier. The Guild come of starting blocks with looking for Sonea. Lords Dannyl and Rothen lead the search into the slums. This young girl is in danger, because her uncontrolled magic will harm her, everyone and everything around her. Sonea fears of their reprisal for Lord Fergun’s injury. She flees with her friend Cery, and finally seeks the aid of the shady Thieves. The Thieves are the center of Imardin’s demiworld. They see the value of having their own magician, so they take her under their care. Thieves know that they buy a pig in a poke. It is as possible that she will become their magician as she will blow them up. Sonea is between the devil and the deep blue sea. She has to become Thieves magician, or let the Guild catch her. She sneaks with Cery into the Magicians’ Guild to gain knowledge of how to control her magic. She sees some lessons, but that ones are for more advanced apprentices. She tries to understand something again and again. Even though her attempts are unsuccessful and Sonea continues to lose control of her powers and burns house by house and hideout by hideout. To say it shorter: she puts a spoke in Thieves’ wheel. Slowly but surely, seekers are closer to find and catch her. Finally, after exciting pursuit magicians find Sonea and help her to control magic and try to convince this young dwell to become a magician. That is when she understands that she got the wrong end of the stick, they wanted to help her, not kill.

As far as I am concerned, The Magicians’ Guild is an amazing and encouraging to read the following books beginning of a curious story. The plot is engrossing and it is almost impossible to guess what is going to happen on next pages of the book.

To sum up, I can sincerely recommend this series to everyone. If you are looking for an intriguing and gripping novel, this is groovy choice for you.
